We don't just want lots of cats, we want ALL the cats

So nobody asked but I thought I'd write a little about our cats.  We currently have five furry children, Brian, Susan, Karen, Norman and Hugo.

As well as our eldest cats name, Susan is also the name of our neighbour (we asked her to change her name to stop confusion but she refused).  When Susan moved in next door, we had to stop going out into the garden and shouting 'Susan stop shitting in the plant pots! Neighbour Susan wasnt too pleased with that.  Susan (Suey) is our tortie (little owl), and she is the empathy cat, the nursemaid.  If you're upset or poorly, suddenly she'll appear beside you and won't leave your side.

Then we have Brian (Briey), who is soooo chilled.  He's our little bear cub and loves nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with us.  You can pick this little chap up and carry him around and he loves it.

Then we have Karen (Scrunchy, because of her constantly scrunched up in disgust expression), the permanently hormonal teenager of the cats. She'll swipe you as you walk passed and yell at you if you look at her wrong.  The other cats are scared of her and to be honest, so am I.  Chuck tells me that Karen is lovely and sweet but she'd scratch your eyeballs if she could, and then moan because you've got blood on her claws.

We then have naughty Norman (nom nom) who is basically like an overgrown kitten.  He spent a whole year living in our garden (from who knows where) and when he finally stepped into our house, he never left.  He's probably the most affectionate and clingy cat and only goes outside to use the toilet.  Although he is too good to use the cat flap so we have to actually hold the cat flap open for him to walk through, which kind of defeats the object of having it.

Then lastly we have Hugo (hugs) who is an absolute attention whore.  He's well known locally  as he waits outside the primary school gates at home time every day so he can get attention and strokes off of everyone.  His head usually smells like other peoples hands.  Today his head smelt like old lady.  He's a floof, possibly part norwegian forest cat.  He's also pretty thick to be frank.  Theres not a lot going on behind the (pretty) eyes with this boy.  And that is the line up presently.  Our babies.

Before Kandy Kitten news, the wife, Chuck, has had a new tattoo on her leg.  Its a cat, dressed as a ghost, watering some Ivy.  I know tattoos arent for everyone but we find it a way of expressing ourselves, and also as a timeline to our lives.  They're also slightly addictive with each one being 'the last one'... Until the next one.

So, in regards to Kandy Kitten, theres lots of new fabric including Easter prints.  It will all be cut soon so any remaining easter fabrics will be on offer in the group soon.  We've had the last fabric delivery until the printers re-open at the end of February.  Kandy kitten is taking part in the APUK market night on 24th February, so excited about that.

Next time, i'll talk about me and Chuck and Lola.
